Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award for Environmental Educators

The GCD is thrilled to announce that members of our club have successfully nominated TWO winners of the GCA’s national Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award for Environmental Educators! Diane Guidone, our hardworking Zone I Chair for Club Presidents (ZCP), nominated Michele Sacerdote, a teacher at the Hanover Montessori School, Hanover NH; and GCD President Jesseca Timmons and Awards Chair Ann Conway nominated Susie Spikol of Hancock, who is a professional naturalist and longtime educator at The Harris Center for Conservation Education in Hancock. Both Susie and Michele will receive the national Hull Award and a check for $1000! We are so proud to be contributing to both candidates’ continued efforts in getting children connected with nature and learning about the environment.  We hope to schedule both winners to attend one of our meetings and be presented  with their awards in person!
